The 15th edition of the Aero India 2025 air show officially kicked off on Monday, February 10 on the outskirts of Bangalore, India. The Indian Ministry of Defence stated that this year’s air show is the largest to date, featuring a groundbreaking moment with the presence of cutting-edge fifth-generation aircraft from the United States and Russia on the same stage.

Every two years, the Aero India air show, dubbed as the “number one air show in Asia,” is held from February 10 to 14 at the Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bangalore. According to reports from various media outlets, the Indian Ministry of Defence announced that this year’s air show has attracted participation from 90 countries and over 900 defence companies, including 150 foreign firms. The total exhibition area spans over 42,000 square meters, making it the largest Aero India air show ever. Additionally, top defence officials from as many as 30 countries are in attendance, making it a truly unprecedented occasion.

The theme of this year’s event is “The Runway to a Billion Opportunities,” aiming to showcase India’s achievements in aerospace and defence capabilities to the global audience.

A highlight of the air show is the simultaneous appearance of the top fifth-generation aircraft from the United States and Russia – the F-35 and Su-57 fighters, marking the first time they are showcased together. Throughout the five-day event, these highly anticipated stealth fighters, along with a variety of military aircraft from participating countries, dazzle the audience and provide an opportunity for everyone to witness the prowess of the most advanced fighter jets.
