The Central Weather Bureau stated that on the 18th and 19th, the outer cloud system of Typhoon Mangosti, affecting the Keelung coast, northeastern areas, and mountainous areas of Greater Taipei, will bring rain. Short-term showers are expected in the northern, eastern, and southeastern regions, with localized brief showers in other areas as well. The probability of local heavy rain or torrential rain is higher on the 18th along the Keelung coast, northeastern areas, and mountainous areas of Greater Taipei, with a chance of heavy rain in the eastern mountainous areas on the 19th.
