The brave warrior known as Peng Zaizhou (Peng Lifa) who is hailed as the “Four Way Bridge Warrior,” has been missing for two years now since the events at Sītōng Qíao in Beijing on October 13, 2022. Overseas figure, Zhou Feng, stood in front of the Chinese Consulate in Iceland urging the CCP to release him.
On October 13, 2022, mainland Chinese citizen Peng Lifa hung two banners at the Four Way Bridge in Beijing, played anti-Xi Jinping slogans, and set tires on fire to attract public attention. Peng Lifa raised demands such as impeaching Xi Jinping from his party and governmental positions, demanding universal suffrage for the presidency, and calling for an end to the “zero-COVID” policy. He was subsequently arrested by the police and there has been no trace of him since.
Overseas figure and member of the Chinese Democratic Party, Zhou Feng, arrived at the Chinese Consulate in Iceland on October 13 to show support for Peng Lifa and called for his immediate release.
Zhou Feng told a reporter from Epoch Times, “We stand here not only to speak up for a brave protester but also to voice out for all the voices of justice that have been silenced. Peng Lifa, this warrior of the Four Way Bridge, was arrested for his courageous actions. The slogans raised by Peng Lifa against the CCP’s zero-COVID policy and dictatorship sparked the largest protest movement in China since the 1989 Tiananmen Square incident – the ‘Blank Revolution’.”
“However, two years have passed since Peng Lifa’s arrest on October 13, 2022, and he is still missing. The CCP has been secretly detaining him, depriving him of the basic human rights he is entitled to as a person.”
He continued, “We are standing here today not only to commemorate this brave voice but also to urge the global community to pressure the Chinese government to release Peng Lifa and end this unjust persecution. Peng Lifa’s protest is not just for himself but for all those affected by the epidemic lockdowns, for freedom and justice.”
On the same day, members of the Chinese Democratic Party also initiated a global campaign to support the search for Peng Zaizhou (Peng Lifa), urging the CCP to release him.
