Trump reveals youngest son Barron will attend college in New York

Former US President Donald Trump revealed in a recent interview that his youngest son, Barron Trump, will be attending a college in New York City this fall. He mentioned that they will soon announce which school Barron will be attending.

According to the New York Post, during an exclusive interview before the end of a campaign event in Michigan on Tuesday (August 20), Trump disclosed Barron’s choice.

When asked if Barron had decided on a college, the former president said, “He has decided. We will announce it soon.”

“He is fully prepared to attend a very good school. He has always been a very good student. He is very smart,” Trump told the New York Post.

Although the former president did not reveal the specific school Barron chose, he added that they would announce this decision “soon.”

When reporters asked if Barron would be attending New York University (NYU), Trump smiled and reiterated that he would not disclose the specific school his son would attend before the official announcement.

At 18 years old, Barron graduated from the Oxbridge Academy, an elite private school in West Palm Beach, Florida, in May. Trump previously mentioned that several schools had accepted Barron, and he was in the process of making a decision.

Trump had mentioned earlier that Barron might attend his alma mater, the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., and daughters Ivanka Trump and Tiffany Trump had graduated. His second son, Eric Trump, graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.

Barron is the only child of Trump and his third wife, former First Lady Melania Trump, and he is the youngest among Trump’s children. Unlike his siblings, Barron has been very low-key, and his mother Melania has tried to keep him out of the public eye as much as possible.

In May, the Republican Party of Florida selected Barron as one of the 41 delegates to represent the state at the Republican National Convention in July. At the convention, the Republican Party would officially nominate his father as a candidate for the 2024 United States presidential election. However, Melania quickly announced that Barron had declined the invitation from the Republican Party of Florida.

Despite this, Barron made a rare appearance on July 9 at his father’s campaign rally in Doral, Miami-Dade County, Florida, becoming a highlight of the evening.

Barron did not attend the Republican National Convention in mid-July in Milwaukee, being the only family member absent from the event.
