27-year-old Chinese male celebrity dies suddenly from central nervous system infection, mistaking it for just a common cold.

Taiwanese artist Big S (Xu Xiyuan), 48, passed away suddenly in Japan due to complications from pneumonia during a flu infection. Similar cases have also been reported in the mainland Chinese entertainment industry, with 27-year-old actor Liang Youcheng initially thinking he had a common cold, only to have his condition rapidly deteriorate into a central nervous system infection, leading to his death on the second day of the Lunar New Year in the hospital.

Born in 1998, Liang Youcheng was confirmed to have passed away on the second day of the Lunar New Year (January 30) due to a central nervous system infection. Sources revealed that prior to the New Year, he had symptoms, initially mistaking it for just a common cold like he and his friends, seeking treatment at the hospital and resting for a few days. On New Year’s Eve, the two were still chatting on WeChat, with his friend expressing how “miserable it is to be sick,” advising him to rest early and stop staying up late, to which Liang Youcheng replied with a voice message.

However, just a day later, his friend called, but Liang Youcheng did not answer. It is presumed that due to the worsening of his condition, instead of choosing to go back to his hometown to reunite with his family, he checked into the hospital alone. Unfortunately, he passed away on the second day of the Lunar New Year without anyone by his side.

Having worked in the entertainment industry for many years, Liang Youcheng, though not widely known, appeared in several works such as “Love in Two Hearts,” “Guardian Tang Xiaoxian,” and “Fantasy Forest.” His bright and handsome image garnered attention, with a promising future in the entertainment industry.

After the sad news broke, many fans flooded his social media platforms with messages of mourning, and his Baidu Baike page has turned gray. Some netizens speculate that Liang Youcheng’s illness may be related to complications of type A influenza, but this theory awaits confirmation.

Liang Youcheng’s actor friend Wu Xu learned from mutual friends that the specific cause of his illness was a central nervous system infection. Overwhelmed with sadness, Wu Xu wrote, “You have transcended time to become a star, you rest in our memories, my good friend Liang Youcheng, farewell on your journey,” expressing his grief deeply.

According to information, infectious diseases of the central nervous system are caused by viruses, bacteria, tuberculosis, fungi, or parasites, and the condition is dangerous. If not treated promptly, it can lead to paralysis, coma, or even life-threatening situations.

The death of Taiwanese artist Big S due to flu-induced pneumonia has garnered attention from mainland Chinese netizens, with many expressing their shock. As Big S succumbed to influenza while traveling in Japan, mainland media heavily reported on the severity of the flu in Japan, unaware of the recent outbreak of a new wave of infections in the mainland, resulting in widespread infections, with many cases of deaths and severe illness being disclosed on social media platforms.
