“2025 Oscars Revealed: ‘Enola’ wins 5 major awards”

The 97th Academy Awards Ceremony, held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday night, saw “Anora” as the biggest winner of the evening, sweeping five awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Film Editing. Adrien Brody and Mikey Madison took home the Best Actor and Best Actress awards respectively.

The 97th Oscars marked the grand finale of the 2025 awards season and took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. “Anora” emerged as the top winner with five awards, including Best Director, Best Actress, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Film Editing. Following closely behind was Brady Corbet’s “The Brutalist,” which won three major awards for Best Actor, Best Cinematography, and Best Original Music.

“Emilia Pérez,” “Wicked,” and “Dune: Part Two” each received two awards. The Best Animated Feature award went to “Flow,” beating out “The Wild Robot,” which had previously won the Annie Award last month.

American director Sean Baker, following his win at the Directors Guild of America Awards, received his first Best Director award for “Anora.” Adrien Brody, the lead actor in “The Brutalist,” won the Best Actor award despite losing to Timothée Chalamet at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Mikey Madison of “Anora” won her first Best Actress award, triumphing over Demi Moore and Fernanda Torres.

Kieran Culkin and Zoe Saldaña won the Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress awards respectively for their roles in “A Real Pain” and “Emilia Pérez,” after previously winning at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, the BAFTA Awards, and the Golden Globes.
