14-year-old teenager from Hunan dies tragically after 10 days in special training school, instructor arrested for involvement.

A 14-year-old boy from Zhuzhou, Hunan Province, tragically passed away 10 days after attending a special education training school. His parents claimed that the deceased had numerous bruises on his body and believed that he was beaten to death. Currently, 5 instructors involved in the case have been detained.

On March 24, Mr. Zhou from Zhuzhou, Hunan, took to the internet to accuse that his 14-year-old son died suddenly 10 days after entering the Qihang Educational Counseling School in Zhuzhou, Hunan. The boy had multiple bruises on his body, suggesting physical abuse. “His head, ears, and body were covered in injuries.”

The “New Yellow River” journalist contacted Mr. Zhou on the 25th. He mentioned that his son was around 1.7 meters tall, not very fond of studying and a bit mischievous, but had a gentle temperament. Previously, he was sent to the Qihang Educational Counseling School in Zhuzhou by local authorities for a six-month “education” period after being suspected of theft for pulling car doors for fun.

Since his son entered the school on March 12, Mr. Zhou was unable to contact him directly. Therefore, he would inquire about his son’s daily condition to the school’s psychology teacher via WeChat every one or two days, and the responses were always “emotions stable, everything normal.”

At 5:17 pm on March 22, Mr. Zhou received a sudden call from the psychology teacher, asking him to come to the school immediately without disclosing his son’s condition. The family rushed to the school, only to find the boy’s body covered in bruises. “We arrived a little after 6 pm, and the child was completely stiff… the cause of death was intentional harm.”

Mr. Zhou revealed that his son had been physically abused every day from the time he entered the school until his death, stating that “the child didn’t get a proper nap, didn’t take a shower.” In the last 10 days before his passing, he did not receive basic care.

According to information provided by the police, there were 5 instructors involved in the beating of his son, along with some students, but no criminal measures have been taken against the students yet. Currently, the 5 instructors have been criminally detained, but Mr. Zhou is unaware of their specific identities or the motive behind the abuse. The autopsy results are expected to be released more than a month later.

On March 24, Mr. Zhou reached a preliminary agreement with the school, and the police are still continuing to retrieve surveillance footage.

Public information indicates that the school is located in Sanmen Town, Tianyuan District, Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province, and operates as a special education training school, offering services such as for-profit special education training, education counseling, and legal consulting.
