14-year-old girl in Changsha bullied by multiple people, forced to cut throat to survive

Hunan Changsha, a 14-year-old girl was bullied and beaten by multiple classmates half a month ago, and was forced to cut her throat to survive. A related video has sparked concerns. This is the second time in the recent period that the girl has been beaten by her classmates, with multiple open wounds on her body. On the evening of April 23, the Gaoxin District Branch of Changsha Public Security Bureau finally reported this case.

In the video released by the girl’s parents, she was beaten by several students wearing school uniforms, continuously slapped and kicked in the head. Someone shouted, “Bring a knife, I’ll stab her.” The video shows injuries on her neck area due to being slashed.

According to reports from mainland China media, the girl claimed to have been beaten by Yan Mouhan and others from the school. In an attempt to escape the beating, the girl picked up glass shards and cut her throat, trying to stop the beating by suicidal means, but it only led to more severe beating.

Mr. Liu, the girl’s father, stated that on April 16, his daughter was beaten by a female classmate for over an hour. When the other party suggested moving to another location, his daughter, fearing more violence, picked up glass shards and said, “If you hit me again, I’ll show you how I die.” Mr. Liu mentioned that his daughter had multiple cuts on her neck, injuries on her wrists, and face, classified as second-degree minor injuries.

On April 16, Hunan Aerospace Hospital issued a medical certificate for the hospitalized patient, showing open wounds on the wrist (right, partial rupture of the ulnar flexor muscle), multiple open wounds on the neck, facial abrasions, and scalp hematoma, suggesting continued hospitalization for treatment.

The receipt provided by the girl’s parents showed that the Lugu Police Station of Gaoxin District Branch of Changsha Public Security Bureau had already accepted the assault case against the girl on April 16.

Mr. Liu also mentioned that on March 29, the assailant had previously beaten his daughter. Following mediation at that time, the other party compensated for medical expenses. According to the community mediation agreement he provided, on that day, the two individuals were involved in a “fight over trivial matters,” during which his daughter was “hit on the head with high heels” by the other party. Since both were minors, the guardians handled the matter, and medical expenses of 8000 yuan were compensated on the spot.

After half a month, regarding his daughter being beaten again, Mr. Liu hoped that the assailant would face criminal punishment.

The girl’s parents stated that despite several days passing since the incident, they couldn’t help but cry every time they watched the video of the assault. “The assailant has been released, I feel unsettled in my heart, I must make them pay the price they deserve.”

The parents mentioned that the child was not only beaten once, as indicated by the hospital diagnosis, with multiple open wounds on the wrists and neck, facial abrasions, and scalp hematoma.

In response, Mr. Yan, the parent of the accused assailant, stated that both parties were involved in mutual violence. However, Mr. Liu’s daughter was more seriously injured.

On the evening of April 23, the staff of Yueyue District Yueya Middle School and the Changsha police responded to reporters from Benliu News that they are currently investigating the matter.

In the afternoon of the 23rd, the staff of the school involved in the case stated that the school is not currently accepting interviews.

The receipt provided by the parents showed that the Lugu Police Station of the Gaoxin District Branch of Changsha Public Security Bureau had already accepted the case of Mr. Liu’s daughter being assaulted on April 16. The relevant police station and public security bureau did not accept interviews from mainland media.

The staff of the Yueyue District Propaganda Department stated that they were unaware of the matter.

On the evening of April 23, the Gaoxin District Branch of Changsha Public Security Bureau reported that two suspects (15 and 14 years old) have been summoned for questioning in the case, and requested the prosecution authorities to intervene early.

The recent campus bullying incident has once again angered netizens.

“Su Feng”: The appearance of bullying incidents should first hold teachers accountable, followed by the removal of the principal and education bureau officials from their positions. If it is a serious incident, their superiors should also be dismissed. Otherwise, the authorities will only downplay the matter and try to minimize the impact. Such incidents cannot happen, and then officials are forced to deal with them.

Many netizens expressed that the current Minor Protection Law should be amended to the Minor Victim Protection Law.

“Zhu Yening”: Firstly, the concept of “under eighteen can kill without being punished” should be eradicated, and the notion of “killers receive death penalties, and offenders receive sentences” should be deeply ingrained.

“Guan_15756321492166”: Compared to the assailant, legal protection for the victim ensures basic fairness and justice. The term “campus bullying” should be replaced with “campus crime.” Cases where the victim does not reconcile should be dealt with as campus crimes.

Under the rule of the Chinese Communist Party in recent decades, there have been repeated severe incidents of campus bullying on the mainland, sparking public outrage. Writer Liao Zusheng analyzed that the main reason campus bullying cannot be effectively curbed is the result of an unjust judiciary of the CCP. With daylight incidents of continuously killing classmates occurring and law enforcement not upholding justice and protecting the rights of victims but instead standing on the same side as criminals, the entire country lacks any semblance of rule of law, with no sense of security, not even in any corner.
