As Western nations allow Ukrainian forces to use Western missiles to target Russian assets inside Russia, and as the Ukrainian military industry continues to produce more suicide drones and ground attack missiles, an increasing number of targets within Russia are being hit, leading to a continuous decline in Russia’s war potential.
On the night of December 10, a Russian oil depot in Briansk was struck, reportedly by the newly unveiled Peklo (Hell) cruise missile. Ukrainian forces launched 10 missiles, with 6 successfully hitting the target.
The Peklo missile features a cylindrical body, an egg-shaped warhead with airspeed pipe, a retractable tail cone, mid-mounted flat fixed wings with slats, V-shaped tail fins with control surfaces, and an externally exposed engine. The rough craftsmanship of the missile, with no exposed guidance head, has led to speculation that it employs GPS and inertial guidance systems. Zelensky claims the missile has a range of about 700 kilometers, a speed exceeding 500 kilometers per hour, and costs under $1 million.
If Ukraine is indeed able to manufacture over 30,000 long-range drones next year, Russia’s mainland depth will be subject to massive air strikes, adding insult to injury for Putin.
San Diego-based Shield AI began supplying the “V-BAT” drones to the Ukrainian military in June this year, verifying the effectiveness of these drones against Russian electronic warfare in real combat conditions.
Germany announced on November 17 that they will provide Ukraine with 4,000 HX-2 Karma suicide drones, significantly enhancing Ukraine’s precision strike capability. Developed by German defense technology company Helsing, these drones possess high autonomy and anti-jamming capabilities, with deliveries commencing in December.
The “Frankenburg MK1” anti-drone missile developed by Estonian startup Frankenburg Technologies will be shipped to Ukraine in the coming months for combat testing, verifying the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for identifying and locating threats to assist the Ukrainian military in countering drone attacks from Russian forces.
